Friendly Alien
the canvas size is something like 75x75 but the actual art is definitely closer to 32x32, made in Photopea, finished Jan. 1st 2025
I made this based on a little doodle my sibling did, and it's my first actual pixel art! I had only done coloring contests before, and only 2 of those.
Flea Circus Ringmaster

I made this for a badge buy event on Flight Rising. It was a joint event between the Shadow and Plague Flights, and I decided that when you combined the aesthetics of the two, obviously what you got was a flea circus! The colors of the top hat and the bow tie are colorpicked from both flights' banners. This was a big jump up in complexity for me and I think I took two whole notebook pages just figuring out how to make a flea anthro. But I'm really really proud of the Shapes on this one.
Chibi Kamen Riders
17x17, made in Photopea, finished Jan. 27th 2025
I made these so I could have a background for my website that I made myself. I just used the default bright saturated colors in Photopea since they're so small. It was a really fun challenge to figure out how to put that amount of detail in such a small space. Daiki gave me so many troubles as usual.
Pixel Blepp

Santae is a petsite that's fallen out of favor with me for various reasons, but I still really like this pixel art.

I did these in exchange for a key to PawBorough's closed beta, and I had so much fun doing them! I like how I did the different expressions on the first two, and I really just love everything about the last one.
Tetomon!
56x56, made in Photopea, finished Mar. 18th 2025
I had been watching a lot of Brandon James Greer videos, and one of the things he does is do pixel art with the limitations of a particular game console. I thought that sounded really cool and fun, so I decided to do something like that myself! And I needed practice drawing people, so I decided to do Kasane Teto as a Pokemon trainer, in the style of Pokemon Crystal because I just really like how that game looks.
That meant I could only use black, white, and two other colors, since that's what all the sprites in that game use. That made it really challenging to shade her clothes, because in her actual official art her clothes are gray, but I had to use black, so I really struggled with how to make it clear that her arm was going in front of her body. I was using Whitney's sprite as a base, but her clothes are white. Luckily I found that one of the rival's sprites has his arm going in front of his body, and he's wearing a black jacket, so I was able to use the shading on that sprite as a reference. I think it turned out well!
